He's the huge resilient man whose cried in my arms in the wake of losing a kid. He's the haughty cop I've needed to wake amidst bad dreams a bigger number of evenings than I can remember..... also, after waking he says "I couldn't get to them sufficiently brisk". He's the officer who works more than 80 hours out of every week, gets back home depleted and lays in the floor to play with his child.
